  • what is it?

    It is a knowledge tool aiming at communicating a content to a group of people by using an electronic device.

    The content can be:

    • general information on how to use your internal communication tools
    • an industrial process you want to explain to your employees/members
    • security procedures that need to be implement in your organisation
    • any other subject you want some people to know about.

    You can also choose for blended learning, by combining your e-learning with workshops or other face to face learning moments.

    But what exactly are the advantages of an e-learning?
    That is what we are going to explore in the next section.

    You can read below some of the advantages you can draw from e-learning.
    Remember that we entered the knowledge area, that technologies are evolving at lightning speed and that people won't do the same job all their life anymore: lifelong learning is a necessity.

      Nobody has to hit the road: travel costs are simply gone.
      No printed material is needed.
      Learners can concentrate on the content that is the most relevant for their job.
      Knowledge is accessible at all times.

      If you have a high turn-over, an e-learning gives immediate access to all new employees/members - for instance - to all the basic knowledge they need for their job.

      Once a course is set up, you can simply update it when needed.

      People do not need to go to a training center which can be a relief. They can get all information when and where they want.
      They can follow their courses online, at their pace and pass their tests when they want through the course evaluation process.

      You can easily see who is registered for which course, and follow the progress of your learners.

      Some people do not like to be part of a group while learning difficult subjects. Alone, they can learn at their own rhythm.

      The colours, texts, pictures, embedded videos, quizzs, etc. entertain the learners while they progress. An e-learning has to be user-friendly!
      Another fun aspect comes from the social media tools used: people can write to each other (chat), talk to each other (video) or create wikis where participants can share their knowledge.
      This is a great way to increase the ownership feeling of your employees/members.

      Some contents can not be transmitted virtually. Sometimes blended learning is recommended. The e-learning is then used alongside a traditional face to face training.

      We put this technological step at the end because we think the content has to be the center of your reflexions.
      The solution you will choose is critical with regards to the computer programs you will have to use, the robustness of your LMS (Learning Management System), the capacity to generate easily accurate reports, etc. The content is king in a course but the platform must be efficient.
      An LMS is a software. You can get one of them which is open source: Moodle.
      You can manage the LMS of your choice or we can do it for you.
      Even if this great technology has a price, it will always mean some savings for you.
